Give me a couple of hours.

never really understood the appeal of a fully loaded work truck, but to each his own, congrats.

Its a loaded truck for towing, not for working. There is a difference. (and it is not fully loaded)

And, is that water separator factory?

I got the water separator as a gift. Weird what some people think will make me happy

justify it however you want, its about 15 grand too much in options. you dont need 4x4 to tow.

Sorry I did not consult with you on what I need. How did you determine that again? You sound like a government shill telling people how to live their lives and what they "need"

It sure looks like a good idea to have it on a diesel. And, it might be factory. From the pictures I'd be hard-pressed to say it wasn't.

A fully loaded work truck makes the workday more enjoyable.

Nice rig, your money, to spend any way you see fit! When we lose that right we've lost it all. Why not have it the way you want, you only live once! Enjoy it and drive it in good health.

ABSO DANG LUTELY! Congrats and second the 'enjoy it in good health.' It's sweet!

I would not even CONSIDER replacing the fuel tank...it will reduce the already-slim chance Ford will cover a failed HPFP to exactly zero.

Unless you have read something on this matter that I have not. GM actually has a higher failure percentage out of the Bosch HPFP's than Ford does and the only way Ford has been denying claims is when water in fuel was found to be the cause. All in where you get your information I guess.

Yes, I have. That being: GM warranties their bad pumps...Ford does not! Ford denies claims with no evidence of contamination...basically, it is up to the owner to prove there WASN'T water contamination! (That is, of course, impossible.)

Ford's shameful behavior here!

Another nightmare!

Not counting the bad HPFP, his truck has been back for repairs SIXTEEN other times in 60,000 miles. Diesel has jumped the shark!

It really sounds like the first dealer it went to ultimately resulted in him being denied warranty. That really sucks, but I wouldn't be so sure that this will be typical going forward with it.
