Group 24f....made by East Penn. I thought Sears batteries were always Johnson Controls; glad East Penn is becoming more popular (Napa too )..I have had good luck with them

For what's its worth my platinum battery is going on near 5 years.

Yours was made by EnerSys/Odyssey, not too sure about the newest Platinums as the counter peeps at my local Sears Auto claimed they are now also made by East Penn.

Obviously the battery contract was up and East Penn was the lowest bid on the new contract.

Maybe...but my local sears has been getting quite a few back (returned0 recently....so it could more...
