Not sure what the labeling requirements are or if there is any enforcement. Its odd there is no country of origin on the NAPA label at all. Is that allowed by the FTC and CBP?
I sent them a message yesterday. I haven't heard back and I doubt they will reply.I guess you would have to call them and ask to get a definitive answer. If if not to your liking, return it if they will take it back. The other option is use it.
It would be unusual if the battery is from Clarios. Whether sold by Walmart, Interstate/Costco or AC Delco (all Clarios retailers), I have always seen some sort of sticker or labeling identifying the country of origin. Not sure what the labeling requirements are or if there is any enforcement.
Another thing I just noticed is the battery shown on the NAPA link has the old label with an American flag that says “made in the USA” in the upper right corner.
The new label on the grey battery is missing that label. It was removed for a reason.

When I look up an H6 AGM battery on NAPA it says "East Penn or Clarios" for manufacturer.I have been replacing my automotive batterys with Oddysseys, however the Napa Legend H6 AGM has a higher rated capacity than the Odyssey offering in that size and it is $100 less so I went with that instead.
I ordered one online and the website said East Penn was the manufacturer which is what I wanted. The battery I got (dated 12/25) has a grey case and black top, looks just like a Costco interstate branded battery (clarios). The terminals also look the same as a clarios made AGM.
Has East Penn changed the way their batteries look? The last 3 I bought all had the same shiny black cases and the same terminals but it's been a few years.
Not sure if I got bait and switched by Napa or what is going on?

I have bought a group 27 marine AGM battery at NAPA and it was East Penn.
Now I live in DE
So it seems both NAPA and Walmart have East Penn on the East Coast and Clarios on West Coast. Or maybe just a coincidence?
Have you considered moving? I mean getting an East Penn battery is one of the more important things in life!!

I think you misunderstood my comment about Interstate labels without a COO on the label. My point was most Interstate labels do not have a COO, it is instead a separate sticker. This label that included "Made in Korea" was a new thing, and it additionally, was placed OVER the separate "Made in Germany" label.Dontcha recall your post about dueling labels? Including an allusion to no COO labels at all?
Interstate is just a marketing brand. Their website indicates they source their batteries from Clarios and some from Exide.I think you misunderstood my comment about Interstate labels without a COO on the label. RockAuto sometimes provides cheap core return shipping if you purchase the shipping through them.I would guess it’s more than $18 because it weighs 50#. I think I can get $10 store credit at AAP for the core which is probably what I’ll do.
Sorry it’s autozone. $10 store credit for recycling batteries.RockAuto sometimes provides cheap core return shipping if you purchase the shipping through them.
I was not aware you could get a core charge from bringing in a battery to a store when you did not buy the battery there.
A scrap yard will give you $$.
It's probably the state required core charge and will depend on the state.
