Goodyear Gatorback Belts

I'm quite the fan of Gatorback belts, and currently have a 4060915 on my 4.2L Vortec that I'm looking to replace. Only issue is, I can't find them. It keeps coming up as a Continental on RockAuto, and even when I search in my order history, what I bought as a Goodyear 4060915 comes up as a Continental 4060915. I can't even find Gatorback belts on Goodyear's website or a Google search. Am I missing something?

I would still get the ContiTech tho as I used both and the material on the Conti seemed better

I bought some gatorback belts earlier this year but the name changed to Elite Continental a few months ago.

The gator back was the only belt I could find the right length when the exhaust air pump seized on my 88 notchback. After using one I liked them a lot.

Correct. All belts & hoses are re-labled to Continental. As far as I can tell, Conti hasn't fiddled with anything other then removing the Goodyear name and adding theirs.

I have the Gatorbacks on both my older Toyotas. Put about 60k miles on them and they look fine. I'd buy them again.

If Goodyear sold off their belt business it isn't a good sign for the future of the company.

I hope they stay the same the same level of quality. I've used them on Explorer, BMW I-6, Maxima, Armada, F-150, etc... Good fit and pretty durable belts.

Looks like the Goodyear hoses are also Continental as I suspected.

Goodyear/Gates are my go too aftermarket parts. Dayco is a Nogoco.

For GM I also like the ACDelco on Amazon, great prices.

Goodyear spun that division off in 2007.
Veyance was formed when the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. spun off its engineered products division in 2007, selling it to The Carlyle Group. AC DELCO does not make any parts. They just relabel parts from various suppliers. As for belts, they will be Dayco or Bando in most cases.

I knew that GY sold off it's belt and hose division to Veyance Engineering back then, as you could not even find the hoses with their name on them, nor the Gatorback belts at a Goodyear tire store with their name out front on the sign!!

Now, I will look for Conti when seeking to replace my current Gatorback.

I would use the Gates Racing (blue) belts and hoses, but they are not made for my app.
