I have gotten along with my old craftsman stuff. My dad bought me tools for Christmas and birthdays. I'm 76 now so that gives you an idea of the age of most of them. I kept buying Craftsman stuff until Sears closed (then switched to Husky) and that seems about the time their quality was impacted. I too buy Tekton nowadays (mostly for my sons). We have stores called "Jax" in the Denver area. It's like a giant Ace hardware, Cabelas, Tractor Supply, REI, and more rolled into one giant store (uses an old Kmart location near me). Truly a candy store for old poops like me. Their Tektron selection is amazing!!!! It's nice to hold and feel them before purchase. They sell a lot of their merchandise online as well. Not the cheapest place to go to but if you want it they usually have it.
