GM Plastic Drain Plug

If anyone has a vehicle that uses these just shoot me a message and for the cost of shipping alone I will mail you like 10 of these. When I had my 2022 I put a new one on at every oil change and bought a bunch of them. My 2024 reverted to metal pan/plug. That plastic plug situation made for the messiest oil change of all time. I ended up using a bucket instead of a pan.

Aside from an offroad application that may be subject to external forces I would not have a problem with it. Assuming they are not unreasonably expensive.

FWIW, another surprise flaw of the PT Cruiser: some kind of steel plug with a built in copperish gasket... It was good for maybe 5 good changes, then would develop a TINY drip. Replacement was only available at the dealer and didn't like the extra trip and paying +$10 versus virtually free toyota gasket.

Last time I tried really hard for no mess/drips, I put the drain pan on a milkcrate right underneath drain plug. Worked lie a charm......until for some unknown reason I decided to roll the truck backward by hand a foot or so. I heard the full drain pan get pushed off the crate immediately before the puddle spread outside of the truck.
