GM engineer ? Where ? Dyson Analysis

I guess I missed something of import ? I see spurious references to my self and allusions to my analysis comments ? On threads that are locked out....
I welcome any and all cross examination done with respect and civility. Tony does too.

I want to address a area that someone brought up about what I sell and market and allegience to any product for Dyson Analysis. I have said this before but will say it again as the institutional knowledge of any internet board is short.

I promote publicly Auto-RX and LubeControl/ Fuel Power 60 because from many analysis reports and testing I found them to be excellent chemistries for the money.

I was paid up front to perform testing interpretation on these products as I am paid to interpret many products and these are the ONLY two I have ever publicly promoted.

I make money by interpreting analysis data, period. I DO want you to buy my service because that is my business.. independent of any brand or bias. PREPAID testing interpretation does not care what the brand is or their marketing designs.

I just call it the way I see it and keep my proprietary mouth shut.

The fact that I felt comfortable enough to publicly mention 3 chemistries says alot from my 26 year point of view.

I need the next analysis job so remaining unbiased is essential for survival.

I am a hired Gun but in the end I still work for Dyson Analysis NOT Auto-RX or LubeControl.

Terry you don't need to justify yourself. We know you here and realize that you recommend the brand and viscosity that works for a particular application. I'm convinced of it. I've seen many cases where you simply tell the person to not worry about the brand and work on fine tuning the oil your using, which works. You've also called for specific brands where you at times felt they would fair better and that is fine.

Problem as I see it is, many don't like oil sales people. (Your not one) It's hard to get people off the idea that adding things to oil, especially synthetics, is a bad thing. I personally don't do it, but realize that between you and Molekule, it's been tested. People also get tired of the propaganda that exists within certain oil companies marketing tactics using the MLM style. It many ways it hurts them even though the product being sold is top quality.

well I must have been away too long, lots of flying, because I missed all those negative comments.

Being someone who has used Terry's analysis I have found he has only my best interest in mind when he makes suggestions. He has never tried to steer me towards any product but has made suggestions as to how to get the best performance out of my oil.

SO to those bashing you, until you've used his analysis and seen with your own eyes what he does refrain from making uneducated comments.

Terry, I think you and Molakule are as close to untouchables as they come on this board! You do not have to worry about your credability!

I think some of use boitog people that have been around here a while and seen all the testing get anoyed when someone that has not used a product, has not seen all the testing,has not read the patents and has no clue in genral start speakign from a place of authority!I know I got upset about this very thing this week!

It is one thing to be critical of a product that you have tried! It is another thing all together to call a well tested patented product a snake oil! I recently got very upset when someone preporting to be part of GM's Tribology group called Auto-Rx a snake oil! Then preety much when against everything I have learned to be true from Terry,Molakule,TooSLick,Frank and many others. Then on top of that made the recent sludge incidents from many auto makers out to be nonscense and not possable with modern GF-3 and now GF-4 oils!!!

Their are also those that think you have something to gain from your recomendations! I just do not get it! You know what they no good need goes unpunished! I would recomend you just ignore these folks and go on being yourself! Many of use apreciate everything that is done to educate all of us!! I know I sure do! It bother me to know end to see some one spreading false hoods as facts!

Terry, I believe that at least a couple of large companies have come down on bitog, and insist that these threads be locked, and that their employees don't necessarally speak for their company. It's not appropriate for engineers and technical people to identify themselves and the large corporations they work for here. Many would disagree with that, but...........it tends to lend the company"s creadibility for what well may be only their personal opinion.

The large coporate employees may have to re-register and refrain from using their company's name.

Anyone who cast doubts on your product or services was an "individual" and it was only his opinion.

Similarly we have had the implication that a "standard" oil was equivalent to certain quality synthetics.

Take it for what it's worth and I see why major corporations will ban their employees from identyfing themselves here, unless they are Sales related.

Probably the best for all if this practice is followed.

I might argue logically, but I would never invoke my past credentials and Employeers on the internet, myself to lend any credibility. My integrity not just the non-disclosure agreements is why I don't.

I hope you have not suffered because of these self appointed experts that evoke powerful corporate names.

I will trust the ruler of bitog to strike the balance here between open exchange of information and inside scoop, weighed against predjudicing the board. It will have to be a balance.
