I was looking for the color code on my son’s 2010 Chevy Silverado in order to pick up some touch up paint. Here it is, part of the codes on the glove compartment door It’s 8624, Olympic White.

Nice! Most automotive paint shops will come out in the parking lot to your vehicle and look up the code as well. Good luck with the touch up. I usually buy the spray bomb because the little touch up bottles dry out so quickly. I spray the inside of the pop off top and use a paint brush for chips etc. Thanks for the info.

I had a hard time finding the equivalent sticker on my friend's Sonic - needed it to confirm I was ordering the correct struts from RA.

Finally found it in the trunk, on a rear strut tower.

GM stopped putting RPO labels on vehicle in 2018.

You can get to the RPO list by scanning the QR code on the certification label located in the driver door jamb. This is the same label that has the VIN, GVWR/GCWR, and tire size info.

For the purpose of this discussion though, the four-digit paint code is still conveniently listed directly under the QR code on the label.

That explains my confusion looking for the code on my 2019 Yukon (extra cost color). I only found it on the window sticker. Was afraid I'd end up with some color variant that was 'off', of some one year only thing.

You can also call the dealership and talk to the parts dept. give them the vin and they can tell you the code. I used to do it all of the time on Volvos, newer Porsche and some Subaru's.

Please note from one year to the next they will use the same color and calli it a different name / code.
