We "ALL" know AR means ARMALITE RIFLE, correct?I just hope they don't call it an assault rifle. Last thing gun owners need, is these generic names used as excuses to ban rifles.
Yeah, my corrective spelling took over before I was able to see it. I can't figure out how to turn it off.Armalite.

In more of a MY LITTLE PONY AR-15 kind of guy.Looks just like my Colt. Haven't fired an 'assault rifle' since boot camp. The color must scare some people. I like the 'Hello Kitty' variant. It may relieve their dyspepsia.

HiYou should see what they call "assault rifles" here ... any rifle that is semi-automatic is defined as an "assult rifle", which means even a .22LR semi-auto rifle like a Ruger 10/22 or a Marlin 60 is an "assault rifle".
Did you even look at the patent plans? It's not an AR-15 clone. It may take STANAG mags and possibly/probably AR grips and buttstocks but that's about it.Why do we need ANOTHER AR-15 clone? How about some innovation?
The 45 is a 9mm.Pretty late to the party, but the more the merrier. Looking at the patent, it's apparently piston driven and modular. LOVE IT already...
Now if they hopefully give it a name that makes sense. My biggest issue with Glock is the stupid numbering system that not only is vague, but confusing. A 22 is a .40, a 44 is a .22, a 45 is a .380, .... *** (yes, I understand it's related to their internal patent number or whatever, but it's really really stupid).
I propose it's called the Gas (for Gaston) kiss, love, and freedom dispenser.
Or revive the traditional awesome names like the "Defender," "Equalizer," "Peacemaker." And so forth...
