Glock Assault Rifle?

Just call it ammolite and you won’t show up on any list. ;)

I've always just assumed they have been working on something like this for years 'just because, why not'.

Personally I'd rather see a new design 9mm PCC than another 5.56 NATO military rifle.

You should see what they call "assault rifles" here ... any rifle that is semi-automatic is defined as an "assult rifle", which means even a .22LR semi-auto rifle like a Ruger 10/22 or a Marlin 60 is an "assault rifle".

I bet you that Glock comes out with a rifle that will revolutionize the military rifle world. It will then be like their Glock G17 that took over the world, but this time it's a rifle. Mark my words!
Quite honestly, l thought Gaston would have been passed away before something like this would happen.

Hi
Same in UK. Also any Rifle with a scope on it is a 'Sniper Rifle' according to some.

Pretty late to the party, but the more the merrier. Looking at the patent, it's apparently piston driven and modular. LOVE IT already...

Now if they hopefully give it a name that makes sense. My biggest issue with Glock is the stupid numbering system that not only is vague, but confusing. A 22 is a .40, a 44 is a .22, a 45 is a .380, .... *** (yes, I understand it's related to their internal patent number or whatever, but it's really really stupid).

I propose it's called the Gas (for Gaston) kiss, love, and freedom dispenser.

Or revive the traditional awesome names like the "Defender," "Equalizer," "Peacemaker." And so forth...

The 45 is a 9mm.
