glass cook top cleaner (for ranges) on cars?

Dunno but I use polishing compound (for paint) on glass to clean it up. There are some youtube videos on glass polishing and its a process, nothing quick.

I wouldn't use it. If it's for glass it's probably fine but there's a lot better products for headlight lens polishing. Namely almost any of the compounds and polishes that are good for paint will work for headlight lenses.

I'd guess that might be quite strongly alkaline (cf "oven cleaner") so might not be good to get on your paint.

For glass, Carpro ceriglass is awesome. It works best with a rotary though. For normal defect removal, a light cutting foam pad will be sufficient.

On headlights, sand with 1500/2500 grit first, then wool with compound, cutting foam with compound and then a polishing pad with a finishing polish. Preferably all with rotary.
