Some have died and never mentioned beforehand they had health problems.

I know of 2 members that said they had cancer and are no longer posting.

I checked the obituaries for the county that he lives in going back to the day of his disappearance. Could not find anyone that would even remotely match him.

I’ve done the same. And as far as I know he doesn’t have much family so even if something did happen it may go unreported unfortunately. I don’t believe the family he has is local to him either.

I haven’t been able to get ahold of him but however I know of a poetry forum he is part of as that’s one of his many interests and his last post there was July 28th so I have good thoughts about it now and feeling better about it too.

While it is genuinely heartwarming to see the concern expressed here for another member, it is a bit inappropriate for us to engage in speculation, or to discuss details about, someone else’s personal affairs.

If the member had brought those details to our forum, then I would be OK discussing them. That person chose to share their situation publicly.

But since the person in question did not share in this case, some of the posts are crossing into gossip, at best, and a lack of discretion where discretion is warranted. For the sake of discretion, of protecting a person‘s privacy, I’ve removed a couple.

I appreciate all the well wishes, I truly do, but I think it’s time we lock this thread.
