I am going to do a used oil analysis on my Sierra at 145k miles, I was curious do I have to make an account with blackstone prior to mailing my sample in or how does it work? I have the sample kit already, do I just take my sample mail it in or what?

Thanks for the input. I am doing a used oil analysis with Castrol GTX just to check up on any possible coolant, and fuel dilution, I guess the car has enough miles to warrant a quick check up.

No you don't have to make an account with Blackstone prior to sending your sample. Fill out the form completely, and include a check or your CC info for payment.

Many people are using some sort of mailer/envelope to avoid any hassles with the post office.

I just sent mine in a week or two ago...didn't know you could create an account ahead of time. I just filled out the form and sent it. Post Office didn't even ask what it was. I just put the canister on the counter and said, "I want to mail that"....they took it. I did have their letter printed out ahead of time.

I'm already getting antsy and I'm sure it'll take 2 more weeks.
