As I was informed from local distributor that GC has ended its production. Is this news true or not? Will there be a replacement for that? Waiting Waiting Waiting for reply.

If currently stopped in German, I think in US it must be consuming stocks...

Cry...

Any one has news about that that? Maybe a rumor here?

Still see it on shelves though I do see more space for the Syntec 5w40 Euro Formula. Now I do know, for some time there has been a formula change ie it isn't the "green stuff" from Germany, it is Syntec 0w30 made from domestic and foreign base stock.

The true German Syntec has been scarce for a while, at least where I am at.

There has been non-green GC that was still made in Germany for years.

Yup, that's my understanding as well. Maybe they're just waiting for new bottles/labels to be printed.

almost forgot. BMW is now advertising Castrol Edge instead of Castrol on their race cars.

No doubt.

Did you get your new 5-series yet?

The Edge with Syntec 0w30 shows a KV@100 of 12.1. GC is 12.2. Density used to be 0.839. The flashpoint is also different...so yeah, formulation is changing.

Perhaps it'll get the liquid titanium?

What was the old flashpoint?

But then they would have called it Edge with Titanium and not Edge with SYNTEC.
