Hi guys!
I was wondering if there's a general grease I can use on the u joints of my BMW, that I can use on the ball joints, sway bar end links, and the tie rod ends.
Also, I recall hearing that I can grease a "sealed-unit" wiht the use of a grease injection needle. Does anyone know where I can find one of these? or where I can find a good, compact, grease gun?

Thanks in Advance

NAPA sale $19.99 Professional grease guns, 14oz tube(save $10). Very good quality, lever action. I have three with flex hoses and keep them in an 19" plastic Stanley ($7) tool box (Lowes or WalMart). Spare tubes, special ends, etc. in the top tray.

If it were me I would check your owner's book or service book and find out what grease BMW says to use in your U-joints.
Also, Checkers has Lincoln grease guns for about $30.

MY greases:
Amsoil S2000 HD Racing Grease for wheel bearings
Amsoil HD Lithium-Complex with Moly for double-cardans
Mystic HD-6 "Red label" Lithium Complex for slide yokes and spiders.(Couldn't find SX-6).{brian fix got me interested in these. Check out the specs at the Citgo site and the Amsoil site.}

Some say use moly everywhere, some say use it no where, and so I follow Toyota specs instead. (Still don't understand why I can't use Moly in the slide yokes)
...Not knowing for sure what Calcium base general purpose grease I had been "incorrectly" using I reluctantly stayed away from using an Aluminum base grease with moly like Schaeffer's. Never got any feed back when trying to find out if Mystic 6 green label was the "wrong" kind of Calcium base that wouldn't mix with Aluminum. No problem mixing with the Lithium Complex like Toyota said to use so that's what I use now.

I'm not the true expert you need and deserve.
Hope you get better information in case I'm steering you wrong. Happy trails.

Canadian tire has all these things you are asking for.

Needle and the works.

They have all kinds of grease there including synthetic Motormaster grease.
