Need to install 4 tires onto a 2012 MB C250 Sedan that will be sold this year. Backs are currently at 2/32 and Fronts are between 4/32 and 5/32. The size is 225/45-17 for the front and 245/40-17 for the rear. Budget is about $500 installed for all 4. Best option I can find so far, is the General G-Max AS-05 for $450 installed (for all 4). Looking for feedback on the General G-Max AS-05 or suggestions on alternatives within the same price range. Thanks.

If you're looking for something for flip, I'd look into the Sumitomo HTR AS PO2. But those Generals aren't too shabby, they're basically Conti's "value" line but made by them and maybe a generation behind Conti proper.

My wife has those on her car. I ordered them in store at a Discount Tire and had them put on when they arrived. They are good, but a tad louder than the oem tires were. She has a set of dedicated snow tires so I can't commit on snow performance.

Looks like I can also get the Goodyear Eagle Sport A/S for the same price. Thoughts?

They are nothing special. I would consider them to be a very average tire in all areas.
