I would leave the oil in until the lab said it was spent.

Maybe I missed the answer earlier, but my question was is GC the same as SLX LongLife II or Formula SLX?
glxpassat, thanks for welcoming me. Of course, just jesting about getting hijacked. I didn't have any idea how far reaching my question was! Reading everything again, seems that GC is the right oil to use in the sludge-prone engines. 5K is also the safe OCI, with a little bit of leeway, i.e. not anal about precise mileage...

They don't list physical properties so I can't compare them. Maybe those 2 are same.
The fuel and the engines/tuning are different in Europe which make comparisons to drain intervals between US and European driven vehicles not applicable.
