Latest UOA:

2006 Subaru Outback XT 2.5L Turbo
GC 0W30
OEM Air filter (last changed at 28,000 miles
OEM Oil filter

All of the previous UOA's shown were with GC 0W30 except the first was with Mobil 1 EP 5W30.

Wear seems to be trending down to a stable level. The silicon is down a bit but still higher than I'd like. I switched to Penn Plat 5W30 and an EaO filter at this change so I'll be interested see what changes. I am hoping maybe the EaO will help there a bit.

Good report. It will be interesting to see the trends after a couple runs (and UOAs) of PP 5w30 to compare.

Jon..Subaru's tend to shoot out higher silicon numbers. Don't know why.

Nice trending. Looks like another good Subaru engine.

That is interesting...I've seen it on a few other reports regardless of the air filter used or driving conditions.

Interesting to note the lowest flashpoint on that report corresponded with Blackstone saying fuel = .5

Not > .5, or trace, but .5

How to interpret blackstone's results... :)

Joe

I think Blackstone's fuel percentages are usually lower than what the percentage really is.

That may be because that was the only time Mobil 1 was used.
