Gas Prices Are Going Up

$2.18 at Sam’s Club but almost every place else is $2.49 for 87 octane. If you buy nothing at a warehouse club other than gasoline, tires and car batteries, you still more than pay for membership cost.

Likewise when gas is almost dollar more than you are paying... I love Costco!
No Sam's Club around here.

There’s a Sam’s Club 20 minutes down the road from me. I wish we had a Costco. Unfortunately, the nearest one is about two hours away.

I never fan of off brand gas . Mabe they all the same but all my car run good with shell or chevron . Walmart or Sam club has made my car run sluggest

Costco is top-tier, Sam's Club is not. I'm a Sam's member but don't pump there as at least here they don't sell any E0 either. I'll gladly pay more for E0 with a better detergent package (assumed, I know). I do get rotations done at Sam's...haven't ever bought my tires there but the lifetime rotation and balance price is unbeatable. Batteries also are a steal.

Off brand gas when I worked at a service station in college was the ends of Branded fuel tankers that did not want to return partially full to Boston or Portland ME from NH. Sometimes we would put Premium Top Tier fuel in our regular tanks too. They gave good pricing.

With that I have never cared what fuel I have ever put in my vehicle. I have run them all into the 200k-250k range not a single one has a fuel related issue.

Costco is Top Tier. That said, my car doesn't like it. Shakes & throws the p0420/0430 twins. 76 or Chevron for my pile. $3.68 for 91. Costco probably .30 cheaper

Part of it is due to the deep freeze in Texas and expectation of more people ( drivers ) getting vaccines and less cases of Covid-19 . Refineries being hit ( https://www.bloomberg.com/energy ) . Thus a combo of natural disasters . Don't forget an additional 10 > 15 cent increase with summer blend in upcoming months . That too slows down production .

I was kinda stuck in an area with no close cheapie stations. Costco is probably $3.30 for 91*.
I was also in a time crunch. Sometimes you gotta pay the piper, I guess.
Petaluma (a native Indian name) is considered part of the wine country. More laid back than Silicon Valley. Nice place.
There are several reasons I would never live in CA, but if I did, I would move away from there just because of the gas prices...they are ridiculous!

87 $2.09 two days ago, $2.19 yesterday night, $2.34 today morning. A bit unusual that the diesel here is just a few cents higher than gas, it's usually a larger difference.

Some of you electric car owners must be thinking "glad I don't have to care about gas prices anymore..."

Our gas prices have gone up 30-40 cents in the last month. Last time I checked, Chevron regular was $3.39 and ARCO regular was $3.09. I think station owners and oil companies are prepared to jack up prices for the slightest plausible reason, such as "the wind is blowing." And it's done across the area, so all the stations' prices go up at the same time. They just need some reason -- any reason -- to explain the higher prices. It's not like people will ever stop buying gas anyway.

This is the time of the year where the industry tries to push prices upwards, and the planets are aligning in their favor right now...plant outages, speculators pushing up crude prices, summer blend around the corner, etc...and as the pandemic starts to taper off, there will be an increase in demand...I think most places nationwide could possibly see $3 by summer, with CA, the weirdo state, being considerably higher as usual...how long it will stay there will depend on crude production...
