I bought gas last week for 2.65 a gallon in mid Michigan. It is now 3.29 a gallon. I would always see 30-40 cent jumps which I think are still ridiculous. But this is by far the most outrageous jump. Why???
Boy they sure are pushing 15-minute cities pretty hard eh?
Their safety record seems pretty terrible. It’s been 20+ years since I’ve set foot on that refinery, but they’ve had massive fires every couple years since then. It’s not like they don’t have CAPEX or OPEX to deal with the majority of those problems.Google says it's due to a fire last week at the BP oil refinery in Whiting, Indiana.
Exactly - and now even using an Exxon card at Exxon it’s extra per gallon going to that station - bcs you are not paying Exxon and CitiBank holds the card …ITS BIG OILits your local retailer ripping you off. They all want to play "the little guy" but they make multiples more per gallon than the producers of the oil.

Not even in the same league as IT for profit and monopolistic control … and just search that - who controls the search LoLAs long as the supply of something we all need is in the hands of a few that co-operate with the each other, the price will constantly go up and those with the supply will take more and more. Oil prices are down about %4 from last week but there is no competition. It's not going to get better. You can't make gas in your backyard.
