Gas buddy become a useless app ?

Speaking of Costco gas stations, it still baffles me that they don’t have digital signage for their prices. They must be the only ones left that still use manual signage. And they have at least three signs to change as well, one near the parking lot entrance, one at the store entrance and one in the food court. And up here in my area they change their price 3 or 4 times every single day! That’s a lot of time wasted for one person to have to keep manually doing that job. Would be much easier if it were digital and all signs would instantly change at the push of a button

Search gas prices near me in the Google maps app. Google doesn’t rely on users and I find it’s quite accurate.

They don’t do Costco either. You need to be a member to get gas there right? Likely the reason.

** edit - I take it back - they do Costco also.

Near where I am at the moment.

Keeping up with prices is difficult. gas here went from 2.42 to 3.19 in a matter of minutes. I went to the store and the cost was $2.42 per gallon, drove home after 20 minutes and it was $3.19. crude didn't change that much. Profit taking, playing games or just what?

I don't think there's any specific policy, or prohibition of Costco stations, but they do disappear intermittently in my area. I wouldn't drive 15 minutes a Costco to save 15 cents per gallon, but it was interesting to see how their prices stood in comparison. They aren't necessarily always the lowest.

There isn't that I can tell. When I am in close physical proximity to a Costco, I can pull the price up on the App easily.
The rub is if I am sitting at home, about 15 miles away from my nearest Costco, I can't pull up the price either on the App or my laptop, unless Costco is the low price in the array.

I sometimes notice that Costco doesn’t show up as easily on my app but when I’m here at my girlfriend’s place it always does because it’s less than a km away
