Garage Door Opener Light Bubs

I have had good luck with the smaller vibration resistant bulbs specifically made for ceiling fans. They have the sturdier filament and also are shorter/smaller in size which transfers less vibration to the filament. An added benefit is that the glass globe is farther away from the garage door openers lens which prevents the heat from yellowing the plastic lens. They are cheaper than the rough service bulbs and using dual 60 watt bulbs provides adequate lighting in my garage. You can find them at any Wal-Mart, Lowes or Home Depot.

Awesome idea. I've been using a stock of rough service bulbs I bought on close out when either Builders Square or some home-improvement store closed, but I never thought of doing this. Next time.
