Just read about a biodegradable engine oil made from Beef Tallow.

developed by Green Earth Technologies.

it comes in various viscosities designed for performance in both turbocharged and supercharged engines, i think it costs about 6 bucks a quart.

i'm sure you can find more out there, i just read the article in Playboy :D

i guess after the oil is changed out, you can dispose of it by dumping it in your backyard !!!

ok correction, you have to mix the spent oil with another product from Green Earth called G-Disposoil

then you can dump it in your yard

Is it really safe? Look at any UOA/VOA and ask if you want all of "that residue" in your soil and eventually your drinking water... (not that burning waste oil is much better - but I'd rather burn it in my furnace and save $3.40 / gallon on heating oil than dump in in my back yard no matter how safe it is

the article explains how micro-organisms in the soil feed on the disposed product, doesn't really go into much depth on it.
