FWY shut down!

The I-15 between Vegas and Los Angelas is completly shut down allegedly due to a shooting that started from a minor fender bender.

Traffic is stopped for miles! Sunday is always bumper to bumper but shutting down the main artery has added to the mess.

Glad I did not go to Vegas!

Yikes. Hope the 15 reopens soon. Whenever the 5 closes at the Grapevine all the traffic gets re-routed to the 101 and the semi traffic increases exponentially.

No. The news article said a guy shot himself in the chest while driving with family in the car. That is why police stopped traffic. He was still alive with the gun and others in the car.

I was in Vegas on vacation and driving a rental Versa on I-15 to Primm. Was just cruising with traffic and looked at the speedo and surprised to see i was doing 105 mph. Learned two things. People cruise fast out there. For an econobox, the Versa cruises very nicely. Oh and a third thing. Traffic went from cruising at 100+ mph to crawling at 5 mph in a matter of minutes.

I've done that same drive and had the same realization. People absolutely fly along that stretch. I was freaking out because I usually like to keep up with traffic but didn't want to get a speeding ticket in a rental car either.
