This is probably the most significant piece of info on China in a long time. It reminds me about the release that the USA had a jet liner, the 707, in 1958. The British had the Comet in 1952, and instantly lost their dominance.

Chinese airlines have 1200 Boeing 737 - 800’s. Once they get things lined out with their new plane, Boeing sales of 737’s will be headed down, I’m afraid. Sure, there will be some crashes but look out folks, China means business. Counterfeit NGK sparkplugs are the least of our problems.

They are worried about a situation like what happened with Russia. As far back as 2012 the US seized Russian real estate in the US, without compensation. And this year $300 billion of their bank deposits were stolen, their other assets seized and they can't get spare parts for equipment made in Europe or the US.

The Chinese are preparing for such a scenario which is a smart move.

there is something you learn in school that the Chinese have never had to learn. when you copy someone's homework and use test banks to prepare for the test. you never learn anything and are no further ahead knowledge wise than you were before that class, and it always comes back to bite you one way or another.

Don't underestimate China. They have a higher national IQ than the U.S. and have established major technological breakthroughs. In some aspect they are a peer-to-peer competitor. It's the authoritarian system keeping them down,

There is definitely something to it. People learn to be very creative in order to go around all the hurdles instilled by the regime which attempts to rule every aspect of their daily life. So, creativity is used to cheat the system. Now, if they could channel this creativity into some useful inventions, that'd be really powerful. But if you learn how to cheat from young age, you tend to continue doing so, even in professional field later on.
