This is probably the most significant piece of info on China in a long time. It reminds me about the release that the USA had a jet liner, the 707, in 1958. The British had the Comet in 1952, and instantly lost their dominance.
Chinese airlines have 1200 Boeing 737 - 800’s. Once they get things lined out with their new plane, Boeing sales of 737’s will be headed down, I’m afraid. Sure, there will be some crashes but look out folks, China means business. Counterfeit NGK sparkplugs are the least of our problems.
They are worried about a situation like what happened with Russia. As far back as 2012 the US seized Russian real estate in the US, without compensation. And this year $300 billion of their bank deposits were stolen, their other assets seized and they can't get spare parts for equipment made in Europe or the US.
The Chinese are preparing for such a scenario which is a smart move.
