Full Synthetic or Synthetic Blend???

I've owned several Hondas and Acuras since 1990, and also a 1987 Sterling with a Honda V-6. In my experience, these cars like any premium motor oil so long as you do regular OCs. Your Honda should have an OLM. I usually change at 20% and have used mostly Conoco Phillips synthetic blends. At 67K, I started using full synthetic for better protection, not to extend my intervals. Right now I can buy Kendall GT-1 full syn for $4.03 a quart, a no brainer.

Easy to find, good price. This gets my vote too.

While a 25,000 mile interval is entirely possible in a 4 cylinder Honda it's best to work up to it with uoas to confirm there's no warning signs.

I like the idea of using the Motorcraft oil and dumping at the maintenance minder indication 15%.
