Oh, the choices! I have recently been quite a critic of synthetic oils because of there high price! I droped M1 back in 06 because the new PP was lots cheaper, and just as good oil. I recently swaped from PP to Chevron supreme synthetic after I found a distributer and it is retelatively cheap...$30 bucks for six quart case. I have always used 5w30 and have one oil change left of the chevron but would like to get your opinions on mabe a switch to something cheaper...mabe a high milage oil...a synthetic blend? I know MC blend is on sale at freds for $3 per quart. I drive a 99 honda accord with the 4 cyl...190k. Driven daily 100 mile round trip on the interstate. No city driving at all. Just back and forth to work. I read motor craft semi synthetic is made by CP and always herd good things from them. I usually do 7-8k oil changes as speced by honda for normal driving and I use enlarged wix filters. It does get hot here in the summer with 105+ daily summer temps and avg 20 's in winter.
