can someone confirm the existance of a fuel filter on a 2003 jeep grand cherokee laredo?
Has inline-6 4.0L.
I thought I saw it above the rear differential, however the owner's manual makes no reference of changing a fuel filter, nor lists a part # for it. It only stated their is an in-tank fuel filter, which isn't really serviceable.

Upon reading my service manual for the '02 WJ, it says that there are two fuel filters, the one in the tank and another that is part of the pressure regulator, which is what you were referring to above the rear diff. It also states that both are for extended service, and do not require replacement under normal circumstances.

Can't change em' out as a regular servicable part...buy gas at reputable, brand name service stations and hope for the best

Yeah, all jeep vehicles have changed to a "non serviceable" filter. This is so stupid...it's not like filters get any less dirty than they did 10 years ago.

I don't know specifically about a Grand Cherokee, but on the '97 and newer Cherokees they only way to change the filter is to also replace the fuel pump.
