FUCHS vs Pentosin vs Zerex G40 Coolant for Audi B8.5(alllroad)

I consider Zerex to be a trusted brand, so of those three, I would personally use Zerex. It is easily available at parts stores and big box stores across the country.

It's my understanding that Pentosin doesn't make anything, but instead has other manufacturers put their product in Pentosin branded containers. They do show their products to meet appropriate specifications. I've used their products before with good results. But they are not my first choice.

Fuchs makes good products and is well respected in Europe. They are a direct supplier to a lot of European car manufacturers. Fuchs has never established a big retail presence in the U.S., so you are most likely only going to get Fuchs by mail order, from places like Autohauz AZ, FCP, or Pelican. And you are going to pay a premium for Fuchs.

I've found that VAG genuine coolant at the dealer is cheapest. If you ever need a top-up while on the road, just use distilled. VAG is messing around with glycol and glycerin based coolants and are VIN to order. Cheapest and easiest to get the coolant from the dealer.

Wondering what people prefer and maybe why as the title says ?
Audi A4 'B8.5' Allroad.
Look at your Audi coolant antifreeze expansion tank,
it will usually have the coolant specification marked on the tank itself.

All A4 B8 and B8.5 run VW G13 (BASF G40, probably Zerex G40) from factory.
Virtually everything VAG from ~2008 to ~2018. VW G12evo from ~2018 on.
