Front driver side brake still dragging!

rebuilt the caliper opposed to getting a new one. new softline AND hardline to the abs pump. after some higher speed driving the other day, it stank like brake fire and the wheel was too hot to touch vs the passenger side being warm but not scalding. No idea what to do but it's really annoying and wastes brake pads. 2005 chrysler minivan

Wheel bearing issue maybe?

I'm doing the same thing on my '07 F150 if it's any consolation, but using a reman caliper which i know is a crap shoot

Lift that side and try turning the wheel by hand. You should have little resistance. Then pump the brake pedal few times and try again, see if it’s hard to turn then.

minor scuffing with no deep gouges.

If your caliper has the plastic pistons, the caliper needs to be replaced with a NAPA (that's the brand I use) rebuilt caliper.
