It's not like they do some sort of validation at the door. Churches let anyone in.
I wouldn't count on someone going to church or saying they were a Christian to ensure they are a good, faithful spouse.

A lot of peeps don't care for the notion that a person that calls themselves a Christian, are any more moral than others. I am an atheist...yet I can see the value in a person that has a belief in God, to find a mate within the Christian community. Lot's of good, decent women can be found at church. Lot's of hypocrites though to. A person would just need to have an ability to weed out the bad ones. Generally, in my experience, Christian females can be a real catch, as long as the male is of the same mindset/values.

10 years ago I met and eventually got engaged to a good, proper Christian woman. Totally unforeseen by me, I come home from work one day and find a "Dear John" letter on my door. 3 days later she had another dude (still married but separated and from her church) move in with her.

Sorry about that....but it happens to secular relationships just as often. It appears that she actually wasn't a "good, proper Christian woman" after all.
