First off - I know zip about them. Neither do I care to Google them much. From what I see, it is not a religious organization, so I hope it is allowed here.
If not, a Mod can delete this. In fact, I think my Grandfather was a member as I recall as a kid. More of a funny story from when I was a teen.
Friend and I were sitting down in the city park one night. There was a local eating joint with an upstairs, only accessible by an outside enclosed staircase.
Lights were on upstairs one night, so we went to investigate.
We walked up those creaky old stairs, and heard some sort of chanting. So we went back down. Low and behold, the padlock was sitting in the hasp. So we snapped the lock shut and went back to the city park. 1/2 hour or so later, the lights shut off. Then they came back on - they could not get out of the building! Pretty soon, a window opened and a guy walked out on the roof. Walked over to a flag pole and slid down.
Best thing, next day I worked part time at my Dad's fertilizer plant in high school. He had an old retired guy hired part time to deliver fertilizer. We normally took a break together. He told me that he was a Mason and what had happened. It was all I could do to keep from cracking up. LOL
He said that will not happen again, we are taking the lock upstairs with us!
Well, about a month later, we saw the lights on again. Sure enough, the lock was gone. I only lived a block away, so we went and grabbed a bolt and tube of grease. Dropped bolt in the hasp, and greased the lower 5' of the flagpole.
Just a funny memory from the wild teenage years.
