Free lifetime oil change. FCP Euro.

They have screw-on caps. Or at least, every 300V can I've ever seen has had one.

This is going to be wordy because I don't have pics. But if you have a can in front of you as you read this so that you can follow along, it might make sense.

The cap basically has two D-rings on top. Flip them up and they become little handles. Pull up on them and you'll see the cap is actually screwed onto a spout that basically telescopes out of the can. Once you've pulled the spout all the way out, unscrew the cap. Beneath it, there should be a little seal with a ring you can use to pull it out, like in orange juice cartons or something. Pull that out and pour out your oil.

When you're done, screw the cap back onto the spout and press the spout back into the top of the can.

Two occasional downsides I've observed with this design:

1. The cap doesn't always screw on tightly enough before it jumps a thread, so it can be hard to get a good seal.
2. Occasionally, pulling the spout and pushing it back in repeatedly can cause the plastic to tear. At that point, it's doomed to leak. I'm sure it can be fixed somehow though.

#1 should be fixable if you just tape the cap down after it's screwed on and the spout is pushed back in.

#2 is very rare and easily avoidable (don't be rough with it).
Thank you very much..you are right indeed. I have just sent back my first party.

The replacement that arrived was a bit damaged though. They put a couple metal containers on a huge box, and the containers just kept hitting each other apparently. They protected them very well against any impact from outside, but inside the box? Free for all

I visit FCP in Milford CT often. Safety-Kleen useless has a tank truck there transferring used oil from 275 gallon totes.
I believe this may not be state dependent, but in PA businesses that sell oil also accept used oil, and they usually have a giant tank that you pour your used oil. Im sure that rather than paying to dispose it, they would be making some money, albeit small, from selling to another party to be used for heating oil or something.

No doubt that used oil worths cents on the dollar though

Glad you got it sorted out!

Sorry to hear about the packing. I've noticed similar with some of my recent orders. I feel like they're slipping lately.

Altogether, I feel like FCP has been slipping.

I ordered an oil change kit and it was two weeks before I ended up calling and canceling the order. The kit was indicated as in-stock / available but the drain plug and filter were back ordered. Ended up going to autozone and began using Mobil 0w40 x4 in all three of my vehicles.

I have approximately $870 in store credit and the last three times I tried to use it I ran into issues with my order.
