Free lifetime oil change. FCP Euro.

Just sent back 2 quarts of Motul 75w90.

If they take it back, might switch all my cars to Motul 300V since it comes in 2 liter containers. Do they seal well back up?
Why wouldn't they take it back? Did you fill out the return form and follow the LRG rules to a "t"? Then should be no issue.

I mean the instructions are pretty easy.

Bought the same item for the 2nd time.
Went back to the original item, hit return with Life Time Replacement as reason.
Boxed it up, and shipped it back with RMA letter inside the box.

Did I miss anything?

Sweet, it worked. First time.

Already a customer, but now definitely even more.

Where do the store credits show up?

Top tip, I suspect most FCP euro shoppers already know. When buying a "repair kit" or "oil change kit", add the carts individually instead of a whole kit, as you can't return individual components without the whole kit. And there is no discount by buying it as a "kit".

Not true. You can return individual pieces....I've done it several times with the filters in the oil kit. When you go to the returns section online you can choose which pieces of the kit to return..

Touche, thanks for the correction. I tried a few other ways, but it let me break up the order into it's parts. Thanks, still learning

Next LRG returns ready to go back. $310 worth of store credit. 2 boxes so with pirateship should be ~$30 total shipping. Will pay for new wipers on several vehicles and an auto trans service kit for the Atlas. 2 LM oil change kits. Set of f/r wipers. An oil pressure solenoid. A fuel filter.

Nice! I did two kits separately of Red Line 5w30 and filter for my Ineos. So total I’m in about $300. Keep really wanting to try Molygen based on all the guys on the BMW forums swearing by it but the VOA of Red Line seems so much better. So basically I’ll be at about $110 for two oil changes (including pirate shipping). With Pennzoil Euro L 5w30 and filter it’d cost me about $110-$120.

It’s just kinda fun to do and I’d already be hauling my own oil to Autozone so this actually is cleaner and easier. Installed the drain plug below to make it super easy. Just put the tube in the bottles. Promotes more frequent oil changes (at least for me to do several UOA along the way).

Always wondered where the used oil went.

Just try the Molygen. It's oil. Has tungsten.

Grown to really like FCP Euro for my BMW 135i. They have all these little parts that so does the BMW dealers online, slightly more expensive, but free shipping over $50 and hassle free returns.

Latest haul. Wipers for W8 and Sportwagen. Auto trans filter/gasket for Atlas. Oil filter for S3/Sportwagen.

I got wipers from FCP for the GLI but also needed them for the MDX...turns out they carry a 26" blade thanks to the Routan so now my MDX blades will also be FCP lifetime. Score! Now if only there was an FCP Asian.

Here's some "free" FCP Euro oil change math. This is just looking at oil changes in a vacuum without all the other bundlemania stuff you can order and include for your return shipping costs so someone just looking at doing oil changes. I used $12/return based on my location/what I've paid using pirateship.com. So while certainly cheaper, this isn't breaking the bank to just use Wallyworld for effectively the same oil change. Basically like using a rebate with more hassle. This is over ~6 years for 4 vehicles. Simply adding wipers and a cabin filter each year improves the economy of doing this but I wanted to isolate the oil itself as this seems to be the one folks lose their minds over "OMG IT CAN'T BE REAL FREE OIL CHANGES REALLY?". If you lived near FCP clearly it makes this a better deal to not have to ship back. FCP isn't losing money on this.

FCP isn't losing money on this.
You're counting return shipping in your $/change, which is misleading your conclusion. Pirateship and you are the only winners.

I have a hard time believing FCP isn't loosing money at $13.63 per oil change, given that also covers their shipping to you.

It's a cost to me that I am showing, that's really all I care about here/want to show. What do you think the total cost to FCP for a 6L LM oil change kit is? $25? Maybe? The part you have to understand is v. few folks are just doing this with oil, they are also buying all sorts of things "while they are there" that are at full price/mark up that never get returned. So like a rebate, it's a bit of a gimmick is all I was tryign to show. Most folks aren't returning anything b/c it's a PITA to some extent. For me personally, they have not made as much money as they could if I hadn't returned these is maybe a better way to say it. However, how much stuff have I also bought (at full price/markup) due to this program that I would have bought elsewhere? They are doing v. well I wager.

2x rotors and 2x full sets of wipers going back. About $300 worth of refunds for store credit. Rotors are obviously heavy so shipping via UPS from VA to CT was $48. Once that credit hits my account I'll spend it on a bunch of stuff I need.
