Free lifetime oil change. FCP Euro.

Ok, just did a return on a Haldex kit/parts and brake fluid, I'll send those back in a month or so. Yes, on the retruns page it only shows available parts/orders to return and as soon as you do the return, they no longer show up so to me, this is good and cuts down on confusion. There are some carry over issues from the old days though, I have some things still showing that were returned but no big deal b/c those are now gone/can't return them anyway (Molygen oil kits actually!).

Edit - I was wrong...it's all correct, wow.

FCPs system is a bit more clunky and not so integrated but not hard to use once you understand it. Just need to order what you are replacing, go to their returns page/start a return, choose the part(s) from the replacement order and then the part(s) you are replacing/old order and print out the form. They also ask for the VIN but not sure how that works when you have multiple orders/VINs on a separate return. I also note that they have removed anything you have returned from you lists you choose from which is a change from the past.
It is really convenient how they remove anything you already returned from the possible options. The return sheets are pretty nice too, just pack and send

Update as my return just got processed. This one included:

2x ATE TYP200 brake fluid - paid $16.29 for the ones being replaced got $16.29 refunded as store credit; these haven't chnaged in price.

2x Motul RBF600 brake fluid - paid $20.49 for the ones being replaced got $20.49 refunded as store credit. This also included returning a bottle against a bottle on teh same order, no issues this time, had a hiccup wiht that before b/c there weren't separate orders. I just included a written note this time on the return form explaining this, guess it worked! Price on these has been $20 forever so no change in price.

Liquimoly 5W40 Leichtlauf High Tech oil change kit for Atlas - paid $75.27 for the ones being replaced got $75.27 refunded as store credit; current price of the one I bought to replace it was only $68 so made money here 🤣

Corteco cabin filter for W8 - paid $16.24 for the one being replaced got $16.36 refunded as store credit; current price of the one I bought to replace it was only $13 so made money here :ROFLMAO:

2x ATE SL6 brake fluid - paid $9.45 got $9.45 for the ones being replaced; current price of the ones I bought to replace these was $16 so I lost money wha wha whaaaaaaa

Hangst oil fiter for W8 - paid $6.36 for the replacement but they are not ~$7 and change. The one I returned was from the LM kit I ordered for this car but have since switched to HPL but you can still return the filter (and drain plug even though they were part of a kit) if you buy a new one to replace it.

Hiccup was I returned a PCV valve that I forgot to include on the return sheet. Sent CS a note with a copy of the return form and it is being handled. Have to follow the instructions and include that paper work...even I make mistakes! :sneaky:

FCP FTW!

This package got to FCP last Thursday and it's Monday - so only a few days to receive my refund.

Now time to use that ~$340 in store credit to buy all of my next service stuff which it should just about cover...DSG kit, oil pan gasket + hardware, spark plugs, LM DI Jectron

What was the turnaround time from when the tracking showed delivered until the refund hit your account? I had something delivered Wednesday to them and I'm still waiting for it to process. Just two jugs of oil shouldn't take two seconds... Starting to get worried!

You missed that in my post. Delivered last Thursday. Refund today. 1 week.

Your FCP drama is more than I can manage for my mental well-being.

Interesting. It makes sense but i dont know why i thought brake fluid and Haldex fluid wasn't part of the lifetime return. But its a fluid. I might need to add that to my list next order.

Is the $131 "kit" really just 4 bolts, 2 orings and a Liter of fluid?

They want 75$ for this... yikes. Pump O Ring kit

My oil change at the dealership for the tiguan is $100ish. If FCP didn't do what they do, i probably would just pay the dealership since its about $85 in parts, but really $30 in shipping for me. I've done about 5 oil change returns and only one hickup. That was solved via chat and 24 hours.

Since my Rabbit is gone now, and now I have a Tiguan, parts cost me about $35-$40. VW 504 00 and Mann filter and locally sourced. It was a little more with the rabbit since it was a 6.4 quart sump.

Returned some liquimoly toptec 6600 0w-20 my replacement oil was Leichtlauf High Tech 5w-40. I used the paper return form. I will probably stick with the leichtlauf going forward.

Wait that works? 0w20 for 5w40 ? I don't care about the price differences just the fact you can do it.

I've been ordering 1L x5 instead of just grabbing a 5L because i thought it had to be exactly the same or no return.

Same with brands, I've been sticking with exact same brand oil filter from my first order.

I would do a new order with a 5L and then return the 5x1L. For the order after that, switch products/viscosities.

They emailed me and said it has to be the EXACT same item and brand for replacement. I messed up one of my return forms and that was the only reason they looked into it. All my other switches were fine.

Just shipped a 21 lb box back worth of lifetime return guarantee stuff worth ~$350 for $18.

DSG service kit
Haldex service kit
2x oil filters
Spark plugs
2x brake fluid

$230 worth of used oil filters, used cabin air filters, and used wiper blades went back for $19. Trans service kit for the Tig ordered and sent using all credit with free shipping. Recent brake fluid flushes will add another $60 to current credit. Box to ship that back was $12. ECS Tuning has similar program, but no fluids are LRG currently.

Refund for $280 store credit hit today. Quick! I was off on my estimate b/c I goofed and didn't send something I thought I did. Still, that pays for all my winter maintenence stuff.

Whoops...nope, got the $350 I originally thought. Last bit came in late. Just ordered some parts for my son's new to him Audi S3 using some of that credit. So at this point, my tally is:

$4,866 spent on items I've used/will use the LRG on over the last ~5 years for now up to 5 VAG vehicles (I've spent quite a bit more but some of those things will never be returned)
$3,121 refunded or given as store credit
$171 in return shipping (b/c a chunk was done using the old Paypal deal where it was refunded it you bought the original order using Paypal).

Amazing deal when you do it/stay organized with it.

Next return shaping up....should be ready to ship a big box worth ~$475 in store credit in January after the next round of maintenance on some of our vehicles. I did have to use the old-school paper form this go for a few things that I coudln't get the online return "portal" to work for. Figure that will cost about $30 in shipping I figure.

Just sent back 2 quarts of Motul 75w90.

If they take it back, might switch all my cars to Motul 300V since it comes in 2 liter containers. Do they seal well back up?
