Hi all, this is my first post.
I have a few questions about setting up a bypass filter.

I have a new Frantz fuel filter that im going to use as a bypass oil filter on a 98 Toyota T100 3.4L. Im using a ss street tee at the sender unit. I've read that the port is 1/8" BSP but i don't know if its BSPT or BSPP. I would like to get everything together before i start installing.

I was also going to use a 1/16" orifice. Is this too small?

Im going to run the return to the filler cap and was wondering if the oil would drain out of the filter back to the engine.

Thanks Todd

The 1/16 restrictor is not too small. Amsoil uses a .030 restrictor on one of their mounts.

I do not know your thread for the sender port.

You can save yourself a bit of plumbing if you can fit a Permacool sandwich adapter. If you have the added room for the slightly lowered full flow filter, this is the best way, imo, to do this.

i have a landcruiser with a tee in the same location, dont worry about the thread difference it isnt enough to be concerned about. however i would return it to the pan via a banjo bolt and fitting at the drain. if i recal right it uses a 12x1.25 thread for the plug.
