Looked on the Internet for pictures. Most were of using the factory jack on the pinch weld. I am thinking I can position the floor jack under the steel the coil spring is sitting in.
Yes that seems right, or for the long term, get one of those *plastic* pucks that sits on the floor jack saddle to adapt to pinch weld use. Some people get creative and make one out of a block of wood or layers of plywood instead, but the pucks aren't expensive.

Then lift on the (sub) frame. Is the body rusted out or you need especially high lift? If not, the pinch welds are designed to hold the weight, as long as the force is distributed properly on the jack saddle whether the OEM or 3rd party.
