Ignore the dents on the case as those are from removal.

Filter has about 3k miles on it since it was installed on a Triumph Tiger 800 motorcycle. The bike runs HOT and really likes to shear most oils, but seems quite gentle on filters.

Filter looks perfect and could probably last 24k miles (equal to 4 factory OCIs at 6k ea) if I were so inclined. ADBV was nice and soft, didn't notice any residue in the residual oil, nor were the pleats or media compromised in any way.

It was replaced with a Hiflofiltro HF204 as I'm curious how these filters perform for having little popularity.

Glad I picked up 2 cases of these XG's for my fleet of cars lol

FYI, Sae-auto on ebay carries XG's by case of 6 for about $4 each on ebay free shipping

Looking good.

I have several TG3593a (similar size to the 7317) that I am using on my bike. I plan on using them for 2 changes.
When I am done with those (in another 4-5 years), I plan on using a XG, and may run it for 4 oil changes (about 10,000 miles)

HiFlow is basically the same as the K&N cycle filter, but without the 1 inch nut on the end. The HiFlow isn't any cheaper in price than the XG7317 from what I've seen. The XG should out perform the HiFlow/K&N and the OEM filter. Plus the XG7317 is larger in size than other filters that fit that bike. I've got an XG7317 on-deck for my XSR900's next oil change.
