Today I had my oil,and oil filter changed at walmart. My truck is a 1995 nissan 4cyl. man. transmission pickup truck,with 240k miles. I use Mobil 1 High Mileage 10w30 oil. I had a Fram Ultra synthetic oil filter put on. This is the first time I have ever used this specific oil filter on my truck. Is this oil filter good for 15k miles on my truck? My thoughts were to replace the oil after 5k miles,but not replace the oil filter until at least 10k miles. Is this safe for me to do?

Yeppy, yep, to all those things.
Fram Ultras are the best oil filter on the market for under $20, hands down. They're solid, and will easily go at least 10k, even under hard use. Get a good long-drain oil (like Mobil 1) and you can actually extend the oil that long too.
Being that my truck has 240k miles,and I pull a 2k trailer I wasn't sure if my oil was good enough for 10k OCI's.
I was think 5k miles on the oil ?

Not change filter but oil is perfectly fine.

Every filter manufacturer uses the phrase "up to". So "up to" 15K is better than "up to" 5K, or 10K.

Right; up to can mean 14,999.9 miles. I am certain that a FRAM Ultra can go AT LEAST 15,000 miles (likely quite a bit more in a clean, normally running engine).

Pennzoil conventional is all that's required for your 5K OCIs. Or purchase their High Mileage conventional.
Then change the Fram Ultra every-other OCI.

Except the Ultra is good for 15K and does not know that the oil was changed and with wire backing, it should not tear.

It apparently makes sense to Honda, since they recommend that our newer Accord have its oil filter changed every other OCI.
In the right driving conditions, an OCI per the IOLM can easily run 10K or more for this car.

Wrong! Most filters discarded have under 25% of it's content blocked. Plus filters become more efficient at 25%.
Should I mention the environment and landfill concerns too? Over 90% of at-home oil changers do not recycle oil filters.
