I agree with you.No one should be signaled out and verbally abused because of a product he/she sells.I guess those people on the F-150 site have a lot to learn about being just nice.

Hi Jay, I don't mean to threadjack but I've purchased about 12 Ultras over the weekend and noticed that one XG3600 has similar glue issues with the original poster's filter. I wouldn't hesitate to use it but if you're engineers need another one to look at, I can mail it in.

I love cars, been a mechanic/hot rodder/engineer my whole life. my job is not easy but I love it. I am considered a antagonist at work as I am always taking the customers side but still love what I do.

Agreed.
We are lucky to have actual ambassadors from filter and oil companies here at bitog to wade through the massive amount of incorrect info and tripe routinely posted by the ignorant and ill-informed.
Add to that we've got actual professionals from the bearing industry as well as a few real tribologists, and our resident sensibility enforcer and we've got a great community that is a wealth of real and true info,if a person digs enough or asks the right questions.
The only con I can see is that now I've got an entire community of oil nerds to facilitate my oil fetish.
If you want your engines to last until the bodies rust off (as I do)-it's NOT a fetish!
