This summer I plan on doing lots of towing with my 2012 V6 Nissan Pathfinder so I am going to run my Mobil 1 for 6,000 miles and change it out and run another 6,000 miles. Can I just leave the Fram Ultra on for both OCI? A total of 12,000 miles. I am a little worried as the filter on this truck is small I don't recall the exact model Ultra off hand but it's small. The truck has 27,000 miles and the motor should be clean running M1 with my OCI between 6-7,500 miles.

That would be perfectly fine. I can't imagine your engine is loaded up with crud so 12k miles on an Ultra should be easy.
Yes it's a 15,000 mile rated filter with high capacity dual layer synthetic microglass media it can hold both of your 6k changes easily.
I recently ran an Ultra for 13k over 3 oci and it doesn't affect the media at all it is solid as a rock.

It should not be a problem at all in a normally running engine. Here is a FRAM Ultra with 15K on it and it looks like it could have gone another 15K.

I would go 10K oil change with a Fram Ultra and use Mobil 1 Extended Performance.

Ha know I never thought of that its a good idea maybe I will go that route.
Man by the looks of the pix of that ultra with 15,000 miles they really do hold up great!
