Fram pleats can't tear..
Uh yeah...
That's just a dislocation. A nothing burger 🍔
We're being oh so hard on these new frams... my goodness we need to be so gentle on these... Otherwise we'll be deemed "Beauty judges". This gap in the pleats is just a minor bypass & we're being too judgmental. Paranoid for no good reason.

Just kidding.. 😜

Que the Frambot's...

I believe this is the second torn new ultra/titanium I’ve seen here. Haven’t run these for a year or so now. Sloppy construction gets sloppy results IMO.

When economy filters being sold as premium lol. Pleat spacing looks good too so yeah its a media problem. First Brands rock catcher. Really confusing why this exist when the tough guard is more or less the same for less.

Never said tearing media is a "nothing burger" or no bid deal ... typical twisting of reality. Why you keep running these if you're so concerned and don't like how they come out after use? How much tearing was caused by bending the pleat over during inspection?

I repeat this a lot but feel it’s important. OG Titanium’s can still be found at AAP. Look inside with your phone light for wire backing. Just bought another 4-5 7317’s.
