What's the black in the center tube, some smeared glue? Good to see fairness. Thanks,

There is good evidence the leaf spring sealed well on the dome end and the ADBV sealed well on the thread end. I am not terribly concerned about the off centering of the end caps.

Yeah, that's all that matters. A slight air gap as shown in that photo doesn't matter as long as there is a complete seal on the end cap around the center tube.

We got rid of it, was a thing nobody seemed to care about. Our Racing and High Performance filter has a high flow bypass with a screen over it. Steel end caps, 500-700psi burst strength, silicone ADBV,94%@20 microns, 6000 mile rating for street use if you really want that valve with the screen over it.
And, seems no matter what there is always that guy who just has to bash FRAM no matter what. BC hey- People need to made aware! Of what dude?

Motorking, people need to be made aware that some people have no business talking about processes they have no idea about.

Unfortunately, a lot of those uninformed people usually end up obtaining a public office because they are the loudest, even though they have no clue.

TGs seem to be a good filter at a decent price.

Saying people are bashing Fram, or stirring things up, is off topic. Other makes are bashed all the time. My point is the off center end cap allows the center tube to directly press on either the adbv or the bypass spring. If there is wayward glue in the gap there it could be a problem, like was on my TG sample. If I was tech director and saw the pictures, most shown are off center, I would go and fix the problem not deny it. The end cap is supposed to cover the center tube edge so when the parts are assembled the end cap is covering and protecting the center tube. I am sure the drawings for these filters don't show an exposed center tube. That's why the end cap is made with a hole smaller than the center tube. I worked differently on my job, I would say thanks for showing those defects, we will correct it right away, sorry it happened and for your trouble.
