Just picked up this guy for my Ford 2.7 ecoboost. 99% efficiency. Wish there was an ultra available but they don't make one yet. This filters better then the motorcraft. I haven't seen any issues with the motorcraft filter for the 2.7. But all their other filters seem to have quality issues lately so I'm going to stick with better quality filters.

Anyone else use these yet? Anyone know what the efficiency of the motorcraft fl-2062 is rated at?

I've seen these in the 11655 and they looked of very high quality and consistency. It should be single pass 99% efficient down to 20 microns, just like the Ultraguard, I believe.

You mean just like the regular Tough Guard.... which are actually excellent filters.

FYI ... Fram references the ISO 4548-12 efficiency test, which is the industry standard multi-pass test with continuous particulate monitoring. So in essence, it's like a continuous running single pass test.
 
I'm using the ultra line of filters. Where did you buy and and what was the price? At Walmart Canada the ultra for my van was 19.99 before taxes. I bought them from rock auto for under $10 before shipping and taxes.

Not the same model, but I've been using the much smaller Tough Guard 10358 cartridge. Made in China. The pleat spacing is very uniform, like your 11955---and unlike the Ultra 10358s I've seen in stores. Price at Walmart is 82% of the Ultra price.

I suggest you pick up the filters from Rockauto.com. buy multiples to save on shipping and use the 5 pct off code. I bought 4 ultras for the caravan and 2 ultras for the civic. Shipping was around $12 for all so the unit cost per filter was around $11 Cdn before taxes.

No need to pad crappy tires bottom line.

Good filter. People on facebook auto groups panic when they hear of a Fram filter. They're living in the past.
 
Yea I was just excited to find this since it's never on the shelves. I have one to try for now . Next time I'll order online and buy multiples. Some people online are going nuts that I'm using a Fram... my god some people don't adapt well to change! All the old false horror stories about Fram come up. "My brothers, friends, dads, cousin had a Fram and it failed".... yea. Riiiiiiight.
 
I'm not knocking Fram or any manufacturer here, but I'll state the obvious (to me): I'm willing to bet almost every cartridge filter manufacturer puts a little more effort into them vs. what they shove into cans, because as soon as you pull a cartridge out of the box, there are no secrets if you're trying to sell garbage....

True, and also true as soon as you pull it out of the housing at the end (or middle) of its life.
 
That looks like the first generation PentaStar cartridge filter size wise. I wonder if it would fit. 2012 Dodge Caravan takes the first person of the PentaStar filter if you want to compare them in the store next time. Ultra is available for the PentaStar

EDIT: Nope it's different, just cross referenced.

Some people still think the earth is flat because some dudes 1500 years ago said it was flat. It's hard to de-hypnotize the blind followers of info of the past.
