Fram Pro 9688 baseplate. Note number of inlet holes

Now, fram Drive 3614

Not as many inlet holes. I doubt it makes big difference; I just noticed it. And here I thought Drive filter was wire backed but appears not. Pro filter is first, Fram Drive 2nd pic. 3rd pic is Fram Drive center tube

Is that a Fram Drive or Fram Force? I thought the Fram Drive where just Fram branded Champ jobber filters, so they'd normally be an ecore with maybe the exception of the ph16 and ph2 size which for whatever reason seem to use Fram EG media.

Good catch, it is a Fram Force. I’m dumb somedays.

I've mixed them up before, I don't know why they made the AAP ToughGaurd tier orange instead of silver or something more easily differentiated.

Only if the total area of the base plate inlet holes is a lot less than the area of the filter mount flow hole, which has never been shown/proven yet on any oil filter. Besides ... PD oil pump ensures oil flows. :D

The fram drive filters are not worth buying. Just get the extra guard
This base plate was from a fd3600.
It uses a combo bypass/adbv in the base plate

The OG still exists if you look hard enough, picked up an XG3600 yesterday at a Meijer in Dayton OH (Col. Glenn Hwy.), still had 2 more that I left. Won’t find any XG7317s anywhere, but I see OG XG2s everywhere.
