Fram PH2 about 3400 miles and 4 months last summer.
Was removed from a 03 Ford Escape with about 85000 miles.
Please ignore the dirt, grass and grinder marks on the filter. I cut it open with a grinder and it sat in the garage till now.
The end cap is bent from me tying to see if it would come off easily.

Careful, you don't want to be suspected of being another a previous poster here, do you?

I've used orange Frams many times over the last 35 years, never had one (knowingly) fail or otherwise cause the demise of any engine.

If someone doesn't want to use a certain brand filter, that's fine. I have no desire or inclination to try and make them do otherwise.

On the other hand, if someone decides they like a particular filter, even if it isn't "my" filter, it isn't my place to try and shame them into using something else.

Looks excellent! I would run one for 5K-6K for sure. Better looking filter after use than any recent Puro I've seen. The fibre end caps weren't easy to pull apart from the media were they? I cut open an Extra Guard in my garage a couple months ago & I couldn't separate the end caps & media by hand. Very strong bond.

The end caps are bonded very well. You can see that I bent them trying to pull them off. With all the bad talk about Fram I figured they would pull off easily. They don't!

The media will tear way before the bond line between the end cap and media lets go.

2003f7 - Thanks for the cut & post. It looks better than some of the MC FL820S filters I have cut open. No tears, no rust and even pleat spacing. Pretty good filter for a little more than $4 at the local Walmart stores.

It does look good. I have never run this size but I could, I think it falls right between the PH16 and PH8a IIRC.
