No tears
All looks good please ignore the dirt I cut it open with a grinder and it has sat in the garage all year.
I hope this works as it is my first attempt at loading photos.

Ugh. That's one ugly seam pleat area and 4 months 3800 miles not exactly much of test of a filter. Looks like this one could use more media.

But you're right though, as long as it didn't tear it got the job done for the oci/fci. Still, pretty ugly.

Thanks for the c&p.

Wow that 1 pleat , I have a 2002 vulcan Tarus , next change i will have to cut open my Motorcraft FL400 and compare ,I paid 3.67 for that filter ,,,, I would imagine carquest was in the same ball park , but doesn't the 3 L DOHC take a FL820 my wifes freestyle call for that ??

My Fusion's 3.0L Duratec specs the FL-820S but the 08 & 09 Fusions didn't change a thing & they spec FL-500S. You can use the 500 anywhere the 820 is called for, but the 820 is larger & cheaper so I stick with it.

Looks like a great filter for a 5000 oci....for under 4 bux appears to be a pretty nice filter...thanks for posting, i really am Liking these carquest filters...advance auto discount makes it all the better. ..Now if we could see some blues....

Yeah I Agree.. Only Carquest carries the blue filters.

This one looks good except the pleats that have already been noted. But it held up. So, good enough for what it needed to be.

Yes, they started making them during the AAP takeover.
