Fram High-Performance oil filters?

Just noticed AAP carried these.. specifically one for my Jeep. Anyone have any experience with them? Curious to see if the construction is more comparable to the Fram Tough Guard or the Fram Ultra. It doesn't look like my local store stocks my spec'd filter..

Ill admit.. The paint looks beautiful.

The construction is actually very robust. It is primarily designed to keep the filter from bursting, spewing oil all over the drag strip or race track. It has less micron filtering efficiency compared to other Fram filters. I'd pass on it.

Yeah doesn't seem too impressive. Definitely not needed in a Jeep. Lol.

Hi,
I work for FRAM. The HP filter is identical to the filter we used to make for K+N before they sourced production to Korea. of course, it doesnt have the nut on the end. It has a very thick tapping plate, 500psi burst strength, 94% efficiency, stainless screen over the bypass valve. Super heavy duty and great for performance cars/trucks and off roading. That said, both TG and Ultra are better ate removing dirt from your oil.
