Fram FPS4967 cut open

Was on my 1nz swapped 97 Tercel for about 3k with SuperTech Synthetic high mileage 5w30

Looks great. There was some sediment on the bottom of the can tho not sure what that is about.

Would of ran the filter longer but I have a long and hard road trip coming up to Tail of the Dragon and wanted to put in a higher spec oil and a different filter to test.

Redline 5w30 went in along with a Champ XL PH2840XL filter went on

Probably mostly combustion crud/carbon that gets blown past the rings. The filter did it's job by keeping that from going through the oiling system over and over and causing wear - the sole purpose of an oil filter.

FPS here, an OG Ultra (minus suregrip) by another name. What's not to like.

Agreed, looks great, unsurprisingly. But at 3k miles, the FPS not even approaching its fci potential.

I figured as such. This motor came out of a wrecked xA and it appeared to have been maintained well (it had a M1 filter) but likely not ran as hard as I recently have. Probably carbon and crap off the pistons
