FRAM Finally on Clearance at Walmart

Yes I got 5x fram force filters for about 1$ each(from AAP).. they have the giant louver-less stripe around the center tube.... ugh.
supposely normal.. but the louvers dont look great either.

luckily the 2 fram titaniums have holes.. and 3 of the 4 ultras had ok Louvers.

one also had metal stuck in the threads.

Still debating if I want to run the 6 with the blank metal strip on the centertube. and I already rejected a few to the trash can I didnt like even more.

Should have looked harder but $1 clearance was grab and go

Fortunately I have 4 more oil filters before I need to make a decision.

my Titanium clearance buy didn't have the most inspiring of louvers either (3614 flavor). I'm sure they flow ok and i'll still run it, but definitely not my preference vs holes or even ecore.

What's funny is how many people install/use filters with "defects" and never know they had them.... I find it funny to cut filters open after they've been used !

all my fram titanium except one were holes, this is the 7317.
Ultras all Louvers
Forces were all louvers with the blank stripe in centertube.

When you are getting 6-10+ filters for the price of 1 I wasnt picky enough.
Then again will I even have this car 4 oil changes from now? (just did a change yesterday too)

Never seen those or the marine filters before. I suspect the marine filters were in a different set of shelves though, like motorcycle filters usually are.

That's like 99% of the population. What's even worse, they don't ever even know about the defects. As long as the engine doesn't blow up because of them, they will never know, or care.

I bought 3 FRAM Titanium filters yesterday for $4.xx each. Cartridge type for the ecoboost - all looked good, definitely variability between pleat widths, but with the mesh backing it will be okay. For sure will not run to 20K per what they are rated.

I had to go to Walmart for some bug spray for daughters road trip to Maine. Bug spray is only a couple aisle from the oil filters.

Only clearance sticker was the single Purolator 20k.
